Born and raised in a small town in Northern Germany, Phillip Laude always had big dreams. From a young age, he was fascinated by the world of business and finance. After graduating from high school, he went on to study economics at the prestigious University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. There, he quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a partner in just seven years. In 2010, Phillip Laude left McKinsey & Company to join the German chemical company BASF as its Chief Financial Officer. Under his leadership, BASF's financial performance improved significantly, and the company's stock price rose by over 50%.In 2018, Phillip Laude was appointed CEO of BASF, becoming the first non-German to lead the company in its 150-year history.
