Ashanti and Nelly Welcome Their First Child Together

A Baby Boy Named Kareem

Congratulations are in order for Ashanti and Nelly, who have welcomed their first child together, a baby boy named Kareem Kenkaide Hayes.

Kareem was born on July 18, 2024, and the proud parents are over the moon.

"The couple are so in love with KK," a rep told People magazine. "He's a beautiful and healthy baby."

Ashanti kept her pregnancy private until after Kareem's birth, announcing the news on Instagram with a sweet photo of her holding her newborn son.

"Our little prince is here!" she wrote. "We are so blessed and grateful for his arrival."

Ashanti and Nelly have been together since 2004, and they married in December 2023.

Kareem is their first child together, and they are understandably thrilled to be parents.

Nelly has been incredibly supportive of Ashanti throughout her pregnancy and labor.

"He's been by my side every step of the way," Ashanti said. "He's the best husband and father I could ask for."
