Navy Recruiter Dies After Being Shoved Down Staircase

A Navy recruiter has died after being shoved down a staircase at a high school in Fairfax, Virginia.

Details:

The incident occurred at Fairfax High School on Tuesday, February 9, 2023, around 1:30 p.m. The recruiter, Petty Officer 1st Class Christopher Browning, was reportedly speaking with a student when he was approached by another student and shoved downstairs.

Petty Officer Browning was taken to the hospital, where he later died of his injuries. The other student, who has not been identified, is now in police custody.

The Navy has expressed its condolences to Petty Officer Browning's family and friends and is cooperating with the police investigation.

The characters Bob Hartley and Carol Kester-Bondurant from "The Bob Newhart Show" made a special appearance in an episode of "Murphy Brown" in 1990.

This was the first time that the two characters had been seen together since "The Bob Newhart Show" ended in 1972.
