Nasdaq has announced that it will be extending its after-hours trading hours, effective immediately. The new trading window will operate from 4:15 PM to 8:00 PM ET, an extension of one hour from the previous 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM ET window.

Nasdaq is the second major exchange to extend its after-hours trading hours. The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) made a similar announcement earlier this year, extending its after-hours trading window from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM ET.
