Senate Bill Threatens TikTok's Future

In April 2024, the US Senate approved a bill that would give TikTok's Chinese owner, ByteDance, a deadline to divest its ownership of the app or face a ban. The bill must still be approved by the House of Representatives and signed by the President to become law.
